About NIC Brands

Postby javila » Jul 01 04 9:13 am

Hi to all!
I was really happy to know that in the beta 3 version of the new wingate 6 the RealTek NIC issue (no internet after installation) were managed and resolved. Unfortunately wasn't that way, I still have the same problem.... no internet after wingate 6 beta 3 installation reboot.
Now that I assume there is no way to pass that problem, I was wonder if any NIC brand beside RealTek has problems with the new Wingate 6? This because I am planning to aquire new NIC cards to my server VIA VT6105 Rhine III.
Please confirme, thanks. Regards.

In order to activate this 2809 workaround you need to add one registry entry:
Find registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\QbikHkXP\Parameters\

add DWORD value and name it Realtek8029Workaround.
Set its value to 1.
Reboot the machine.

Let me know if your problem still persists.
