WinGate RC2 don't see any NIC

Postby Mickey » Jul 13 04 8:24 am

Hello

I just installed WinGate RC2 (build 969) and everything stop.
WinGate don't see any of my two Network Cards.
Back to WinGate RC1 (build 963) and work OK
Replace qbikhknt.sys to te newer from build 969 and still work OK, so I thing a bug is in an application that it don't resolve network cards even if windows ipconfig show that there are two NIC with a IP addresses assigned.

I have WinNT4 Server (SP6a + all hotfixes)
NIC are RealTek 8139 and RealTek 8029 (Realtek Workaround is ENABLED)

In WinGate RC1 in Network Tab the NIC's have status: unreachable maybe this is a problem in RC2 that WG don't want to USE this NICs?

Run WGOptions application, go to page Hardware and tick the checkbox "8029 workaround". Then reboot the machine.

HI

We just uploaded build 971 which solves this problem. Sorry for the hassle!

Also majorly improved our support for dialin connections on NT.

Regards

HI, I will test it

I've tested and WORK OK (but don't do a restart, but think that it will be fine)
Just install 971, start Engine and it work.

Good work, thanks

If you don't restart it should still work, but you won't get the tweaks to the driver which supports TR through dial-in connections for NT.

If that isn't urgent, then no problem!

This isn't a problem.

Change ground.
Have you in plan to implement Bandwidth Control to WGIC sesions?
