Remote Control Binding configuration deleted automatically

Postby oscarp » Jul 23 04 3:33 am

Hi.

I setup a Win2003 Server with wingate 5.2.3 and two NICs.
Java web authentication is needed in the www proxy, so i made the bindings in the Remote Control Service as you advise (local IP and loopback IP). When this is done I save the changes and all works fine.

But if the server is rebooted or the wingate service is stopped, when service starts up, the binding configuration is reset automatically to default (only loopback IP), and the java auth in client machines show a Port error.

Any suggestion?

It will do that if you have no password in WinGate's administrator account.

Hello Adrien.

It's true, i gave no password to administrator account for test purposes. I'll try this solution and post here the result.

Thank you.
