If you want this connection to be established from the WinGate Server itself, it should simply be a case of doing it the way you'd normally do it from an Internet enabled computer. However, if this is giving you problems, check your firewall log. It is possible that some traffic might be blocked by the firewall.

If you want to establish the connection from a client computer, it might be slightly more involved. If this is the case, what methods do you use to connect the clients to the internet ? Are you going out through WGIC, proxies or are you using ENS/NAT ?

Easiest way is to set up a TCP Mapping Service.

I think SQL uses Port 1755 - don't trust my memory on that.

Set the service to accept connections on the External NIC and forward to the SQL server IP.

Remember - you're opening your SQL server to the bad folks on the Internet so be sure you have that latest security patches and strong passwords.
