Server machine not showing up in activity

I just installed a trial version of Wingate and the antivirus plugin. For some reason the server (machine with wingate that is connected to internet) is not showing up in the activity tab or in the history tab. Anyone have any ideas on what is wrong? I have no problem browsing the web with the machine, I just need it to go through wingate because I need it to be protected by the antivirus plugin.
I checked the www proxy server and the loopback is activated under the bindings tab.
I don't have any of the other machines hooked up and going through wingate yet, but I am assuming that they would work fine if I hooked them up.

Is Internet Explorer set to go through WinGate? You set this under the 'Tools - Internet options - Connections - LAN Settings'.

By default IE tries to connect straight out of your internet connection (thus by-passing WinGate), so you need to force it through the proxy by changing this setting, and then the local machine traffic will show up under activity.
