inexperienced but mediocre pc kid, help me please

alright, i have wingate 5.0.7 and something happened to my gatekeeper, i click on the wingate engine (the little computer with the world behind it) and it says the engine it running but it says "could not start gatekeeper" and my gatekeeper only pops up as a log, does anyone know how i can get another gatekeeper and how to get it running correctly so i am able to get my other computers to work

Can you run the gatekeeper.exe from the wingate installation directory from either the start menu, or windows explorer?

no i am not able to do that, for some odd reason it shows up in "notebook" and is nothing but a bunch of words and all that

when did you last run a virus check? Sounds like your system isn't very healthy if it tries to launch an executable in notepad.

ya its my sisters pc, its a worthless celeron so we just use it to share the internet and it most definatly does have a few viruses, whenver we start it up the system32 box pops up and its just all messed up, my friend is a pc genius but him and i arnt on good terms so therefore i am forced to do what i can instead of swallowing my pride. although he did tell me to uninstall wingate and try to reinstall it but i cannot find the install thing, he said he would come up and reinstall it and completely clean out my sis' pc but he doesnt know when. any help on how to download wingate without having to re-pay for everything would be greatly appreciated

If you've got the license information you should be able to just download and reinstall with no problem.

If you don't have the info go to support.qbik.com and post a support request.
