went block msn messenger navigation slow

Hi,

Last day i have to block the msn messenger from hotmail, i do this changing the deafult port 1080 to 4080, is this correct or no. Later the user start to use the yahoo messenger with the setting "firewall without proxy" from that moment i feel the navigation runs to slow, is this two thins have anythins to do with my navigation problems or not. help please, other thinks the e-mail clients take too long to to sent e-mail.

And before went the users use msn messenger in the activity window of the gatekeeper show a conection like this socks connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1863, but now with the yahoo messenger like i say up no activity is show in gatekeeper, but a lot of user are conected.

Wingate 4.5.0 on windows 2000 server.
