Hi

that configuration looks correct. How does WinGate connect to the Internet?

Check that the external NIC on your WinGate machine is configured as "external" in GateKeeper->Network.

Hi adrien. Thanks for response.
'How does WinGate connect to the Internet? ' - I not know. My internet use cable modem.
"Check that the external NIC on your WinGate machine is configured as "external" in GateKeeper->Network" - I don´t find this setting.
Adrien, I need a step by step for setting a little LAN, for sharing a internet connection and files and print. Do you know where I find this tutorial?
Thanks once more.
A embrace,

Hi,

There is an install guide available to download from here: http://downloads.qbik.com/qbiknz2/downl ... nstall.chm

Regarding "Internal / External" :

This option can be found in the GateKeeper --> View Menu --> Network, as shown in the image attached. The network card / modem pointing towards the internet should be marked as "external" and the network card pointing towards your LAN should be marked as "internal", as shown in the image below.

If you are still having issues, can you please post an ipconfig/all

(Windows) Start menu --> Run --> cmd --> ipconfig/all >> C:\ipa.txt
After you have run that command, open windows explorer and navigate to C:\ipa.txt . then post that information in this forum post.

Hi Silva,

WinGate 5.0.0, I just dug it out and installed. To change the interfaces to internal / external, please see the image below. In that image, 192.168.6.50 is my external interface.

Image

Please also check that this ip address pattern is similar to your WinGate server and the client computer (192.168.0.2)
So if the WinGates internal IP address is
IP Address 192.168.0.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway
DNS

Then the client machines TCP/IP setting should be as follows
IP Address 192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1
DNS 192.168.0.1

I think you are set to use NAT now.

If you are not sure about something, then tell us
