Problems with video on demand starting with wingate v6.0

Config: Wingate 6.1.proxy with xp pro sp2 and dsl connection, xp pro sp2 client.
Problem: Up to 5.2.3 the video file download started successfully and the file was building up on the client until media player could be started to watch the movie. Starting with 6.0 and later the file was created but stayed with size 0 until it terminated with "timed out" after 1min. On the wg sever you could see in parallel a tmp file building up in /windows/temp that grew until appr. 30Mb and then vanished. I went back to 5.2.3 and everything is fine again but as I want to use puresight and kaspersky av I have no choice as the actual versions 2 only works with wingate 6.

When you had the plugins installed on 6.1 did you have drip-feeding turned on? You need drip-feeding turned on otherwise WinGate will buffer the data to scan it. Secondly, when drip-feeding you cannot have cleaning turned on for the AV plugin as it has already submitted data to the client.

It's best when you are using plugins with WinGate 6.1 to add an override to the plugin to not scan the sites you are using for streaming media.

Even drip-feeding is not ideal for media, since only a proportion of the data is fed through to the client.

actually vod now works, thx a lot !
The setup required drip feed "on" plus disbale of plug in puresight and kav for the stream sending url
