Configuration

Postby rmoppedi » Nov 14 06 9:08 am

I would like to configure a proxy server in a Cisco PIX dmz. I would like FTP and HTTP requests to be sent out and in by the proxy server on the clients behalf. Will your product perform this task and if so how to I set it up?

Thank You

Yes it will.

Assuming you have 2 network cards in the proxy, one hooked to the internal lan, and one to the pix...

Just set the network card hooked to your cisco as external, since I'm guessing the proxy will have internal addresses?

Set the pix dmz host to the ip designated as external in wingate.

Then point your clients to the ip designated as internal in wingate, and voila.

That's a start anyways :)
I love Wingate, and it loves me!

Don't I want to place the Proxy server in the DMZ with one NIC? I'm probably wrong but I thought traffic from the outside would be redirected to the proxy in the DMZ and then the proxy would make the request to the internal server. Please let me know if I'm way off base.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
