How control clients by their MAC address?

Hello Sir,

I just have joined this forum and this is my very first post. My name is Irfan, I am working as I.T. Manager in recently joined company. We are using LAN and WinGate 6.0.4 on Win 2000 Server (without domain) IP based. In short, my question is:

I want to control clients by their MAC addresses, that only allowed persons could use proxy services. Some clever persons changes their IP address for their purpose.

Please guide how I can make it working.

Hi Irfan,

What you could do is in the WWW Proxy set the Policy for everyone to have a Filter / Criteria determined by MAC address for access.

Also set the WWW Sessions to Intercept connections by NAT on your proxy port.
