Does hyperthreading help?

Would hyperthreading improve WG performance or should I just have it disabled? I Know some apps doesn't take advantage of HT so you only get 50% performance with it enabled...

As with any multi CPU machines - multithreading is beneficial if the OS scheduler uses it wisely - and hardware/firmware mixes allow for wise of of hyperthreading. In short - normally Wingate benefits from it.
