Hi

how are the client computers configured to access the internet?

I'm presuming your SQL back-end is on the internet and the client connects over the internet to it?

Normally such applications would work with NAT (network address translation). Check our help files for more information on using NAT with WinGate http://help.qbik.com/index.php?topic_id=25

Otherwise access through a proxy would require either some form of proxy support in the client software itself, or some sort of proxifying software which can redirect connections through the proxy. The WinGate client will do this, and there are also others such as proxifier (http://www.proxifier.com/).
