Authentication Failed - user guest

Postby hiflow » May 07 04 4:27 am

I am running wingate on a proxy server which uses OS windows 2000 The internet/mail connection is distributed on a LAN and since we had to replace the Hard drive on the proxy server we keep getting disconnected from the internet connection and the following error message is displayed in Wingate Gatekeeper.
"Authentication Failed - user Guest on 10.0.0.9 requested NAT:TCP
connection " Even the Proxy server itself is then unable to utilise the connection until the machine is retarted.
How can we solve this problem as it did not occur prior to the hard drive change.

Did anything in your configuration change at all ? What policies do you have set on NAT ?

Secondly, check your Userdatabase selection. Are you using OS UDB, WG UDB or a mixture of the two ? It is possible that the guest account is disabled.

Last question - does this happen occasionally, or is it for every TCP session going through NAT ?
