I'm tryying to solve the problem, but at the same time I want to learn.
Does anybody know what is the problem with Realtek 8029A? Do I need to change de NIC? Is a Windows 2000 Wingate problem? Wingate version is 5.2.3.
Waiting for help, Rafael.
This problem is with WinGate v5.2.3 and RealTek NIC (I have WinNT and have this issue too)
There are only 2 possible solutions:
1) Install WinGate 6.0 RC2 <=Realtek Problem Solved (with steps I have written)
2) If You must stay on version 5.2.3 you have to:
Change (Add) in windows registy:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\QbikHk2k\Parameters\Realtek8029Workaround
type: DWORD
value: 1
and download a new driver from wersion 6.0 which understood RealTek Workaround
I places it here - It is from version 6.0 build 975) and should work:
http://zory.internetdsl.pl/qbikhk2k.zip
And place a unpacked driver in C:\WINNT\system32\drivers directory od similar (depends of windows installation)
